Dean’s Scholars Program
The Dean’s Scholars Program is an exclusive cohort of incoming first-year students who are invited to participate in a scholarship-based program at Baruch College. Students may only join this program if they were specifically offered the opportunity upon their acceptance to the college, as determined by the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
Goal: To actively engage Dean’s Scholars in the Baruch community, promote Bearcat Pride, and support timely graduation within four years while maintaining the required GPA.
Objective: We aim to foster a strong sense of community among all Dean’s Scholars by providing a supportive environment, enhanced by personalized guidance from an assigned Academic Advisor and a Peer Mentor.
For questions about Admission into Dean’s Scholars program, please contact Keith T. Geraldino, Admissions Advisor, at Keith.Geraldino@baruch.cuny.edu
Compliance
Dean’s Scholars are required to:
- Maintain full-time enrollment (at least 12 credits each fall and spring semester).
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 at Baruch.
Dean’s Scholars who do not meet these requirements will be placed on Dean’s Scholars Probation. If a student fails to meet the criteria for two semesters during their time in the program, they will be dismissed from the Dean’s Scholars Program after the second violation.
