Event Description:
Curating, Institutions, and COVID
Friday, October 2
6pm
Online, Zoom
With COVID continuing to spread around the world, traditional social relations are mediated ever more online. What are the ways in which learning about, making, showing and experiencing art beyond the “white cube” might be reimagined? Join curators Josey Bartlett, Robert Maitner, Kristy Pavlick and Yesseña Whitfield along with moderator Visnja Begovic (MA Arts Administration candidates) to discuss their research and projects as featured in the current online exhibitions WISH YOU WERE HERE and LOOKING TO HEAR, as well as their perspectives on the changing cultural landscape during a time of great health, economic, and racial reckoning in the US.
