The space is used by Baruch College to document private queries being developed and used in the CUNYfirst reporting instance, to provide Query Managers with assistance in query development, and to share information related to the CUNYfirst reporting instance with viewers and query managers (developers).

titleQuery Manager Training Session - Basics of the Reporting Instance Level II - Friday, May 29June 12, 11am-12:30pm

On Friday, May 29June 12, at from 11:00am-12:30pm in the Library Building Rm 620 we are going to hold a , we will be holding a Level II training session for Query Managers (or aspiring query managers) on the basics of using the CUNYfirst Reporting Instance for query development and the running of queries. This training session will include both demonstrations of query development techniques by the trainer, as well as time for hands-on query development time for you.

The topics to be covered in this training will include prompts, joinsA Level II course for query managers is being planned for June 9. This Level II course will be a hands-on format and include a more in-depth look at joins (standard and left outer), expressions, sub-queries , and unions. Save the date ans a follow-up email will be sent with details shortly.Each topic will be explained, example(s) of use will be presented, and then a demonstration on the use of the technique within a query will presented. Time will then be given to you (or a small group) to use the technique in a query you develop during the session.

This session is for Query Managers only. If you are interested in attending please email Patrick Ackerman so we can confirm seat count for the session.
