JRN 4500 - Advanced Video Journalism

Undergraduate | 3 Credits | 3 Hours
In this capstone course, students will focus on advanced video storytelling and production and will build on fundamental skills learned in the prerequisite courses. Students will learn the theoretical and technical concepts of visual storytelling, including composition, perspective, focus, and lighting, and will shoot video using sophisticated equipment provided by the department. Students will also learn pre-production, shooting, interviewing, and editing for short-form video.
Prerequisite: JRN 3050; and either JRN 3510 or JRN 3210
