Baruch College Ranked #11 Among Best Northern Regional Universities by College Choice

NEW YORK, NY October 7, 2015 Baruch College has been ranked #11 of the 50 best northern regional universities by College Choice. The ranking is based exclusively on factors college freshman said were most important to their college decision.

"Every college ranking involves decisions about what elements of a college to consider. You can't measure or include everything, so why not go with what real students said they valued most in making their own college decision?" said Jeremy Alder, Managing Editor of College Choice.

Baruch ranked #11 on the list and was the highest-ranking CUNY college. City College, Queens College, Hunter and Brooklyn College ranked #17, #24, #32 and #38 respectively.


According to the most recent nationwide survey published by the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA, college freshman cited the following factors on influencing their college decisions: Academic reputation, financial aid offerings, overall cost, and success of graduates in the post-college job market. Each of these factors were weighted equally in the ranking and data was derived from a variety of publicly available sources, including U.S. News & World Report, the National Center for Education Statistics, and
