I study employee motivation and self-regulation. In particular, I am interested in how and why people’s subjective experiences of goal pursuit influence their self-regulatory behaviors. In addition, I also study the future of work. I am interested in the role of employee’s perspectives and reactions in realizing the myriad benefits and pitfalls associated with automation, gamification, and other technology-driven changes at work.
