Joseph Ciquera Bio

Mr. Joseph Ciquera is a native of Garden City, New York. He received his undergraduate degree from Brockport State University in Business Administration in 1977. Joe then went on to get his teaching certificate at Adelphi University and taught high school Social Studies for three years. He then pursued a job in the Air Cargo Industry at JFK. He worked with FedEx for 30 years as an International Sales Executive and Sales Manager. He managed a territory from Wilmington Delaware to Wilmington North Carolina that produced over 110 million dollars of international business in a year. While working, he obtained his MBA in Global Management at the University of Phoenix. In 2009, Joe worked as an adjunct teacher for Georgetown Continuing Education teaching Global Supply Chain. Joe also took an adjunct job teaching International Business at Temple University. After retiring from FedEx in 2020 Joe decided to teach full time at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. In Briar Cliff Joe taught International Business, Principals of Management, Cross Cultural Management and Supply Chain Management. He has also played and coached Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Ice Hockey. Joe is married to Rosemarie and has three sons Christopher 35, Patrick, 32, and Matthew 29.

Joe is starting at Baruch this Fall Semester 2023 teaching International Business and Management Introduction to Business courses. He looks forward to working with all students and staff.
