Research Currently in Progess

Zekri, W., & Belmihoub, K.(n.d.). Designing an English Writing Course in Algeria in a Digital World. In Progress.

Using a collaborative auto-ethnography methodology, myself and another English writing university professor collaborated to design her English writing course to prepare for an intercultural exchange between my writing class and hers. We reviewed cutting-edge literature on writing pedagogy and exchanged expertise and experiences to enhance the teaching of writing in our respective global contexts. Our proposal has been accepted for publication in an edited collection.

Belmihoub, K.(n.d.). Profiling Writing Across the World: Writing in a Translingual Algeria.. In Progress.

I am currently working on a book manuscript aimed for the WAC Clearing House's International Exchanges on the Study of Writing. I argue in defense of a heuristic for the study of writing across the world, using Algeria as an example to apply the proposed heuristic. I received IRB approval in spring to collect data, which is currently in progress. A first full draft of 4 chapters is written thus far.
