Hitchcock, P.(n.d.). Seriality and Social Change (monograph under contract, Seagull Press, NY/London/Kolkata). In Progress.

This book provides a prescient critique of the role of seriality in contemporary cultural production. It considers the roots of serial studies and the plethora of cultural forms that pivot on this logic (including tv, podcasts, anime, and manga).

Hitchcock, P.(n.d.). The World, the State, and Postcoloniality (monograph manuscript nearing completion but not submitted). In Progress.

this book looks to interrelate the new emergence of world literature as an area of study with the fate of the nation state in postcolonial critique. As such, it considers literary examples ("failed state fiction"), theory, and institutional logic.
